Our Mission: Donating Hair & Hair Extensions in Naperville
As a Naperville salon specializing in luxury hair extensions, we often phase out older or unused hair extensions from our inventory. Instead of letting this hair go to waste, we’re committed to repurposing it for good. We donate 100% of our clean, gently used hair extensions—and any salon-collected ponytail donations—to Children With Hair Loss to help create beautiful wigs for children in need.
Our goal is simple yet powerful: help create 20 wigs a year through our hair extension and hair donation program.
How You Can Help: Hair Donation Guidelines
Whether you’re a client ready for a big chop or simply want to be a part of our mission, you can contribute by donating your own hair. Here’s what you need to know:
Hair must be a minimum of 8 inches in length
Hair must be clean, dry, and in a ponytail or braid
Hair can be color-treated, permed, or gray—as long as it’s in healthy condition
We can also accept hair extensions, as long as they are clean and still in usable condition
As your local Naperville salon, we’ll handle the donation process on your behalf and send your hair directly to Children With Hair Loss. However, if you prefer to receive an official donation certificate, you’re welcome to send it in yourself—just let us know, and we’ll guide you through the steps.
Why This Matters
Children With Hair Loss is the only non-profit of its kind that provides customized wigs completely free of charge to children with medical hair loss, regardless of the cause—whether it’s cancer, alopecia, trichotillomania, burns, or other health-related conditions. These wigs help restore a child’s confidence and self-esteem during an incredibly difficult time.
With the rising cost of real human hair wigs, each donation—no matter how small—makes a powerful difference. On average, it takes 6–8 ponytail donations to make just one wig. That’s why every strand counts.
